I am going to teach all of you today all about Agatha Christie, who is a legendary murder mystery author in her own right, with over sixty-six published novels across a variety of genres, 150 published short stories, and over fourteen short story collections. Agatha Christie was born on the 15th of September 1890, she had quite an unorthodox upbringing, she taught herself to read by the tender age of five because her parents did not condone her learning how to read until she was about eight years of age. From childhood and onwards, Agatha was an avid reader and creative storyteller, coming up with tales based on her active imagination. She would go on to become a prolific author of mystery and detective novels, expanding the storylines of her most famous books in short stories, she was also a prolific playwright whose play, "The Mousetrap," was the longest running-play in world history.
